2015 - First year of peibiker.com

This website is a 'new page' in the project that Julie Watson started as a tour guide and eventually the website motorcycle-pei.com. Julie and I met and she was happy to pass the torch and promised to help me with the transition and share her wisdom about riding PEI by motorcycle. Her site was heavily used and her great tips and workmanship helped many riders over the years. Thank you Julie!

More about Julie...
Former site editor and publisher Julie Watson rode with her husband Jack for many years. The couple loved touring on their BMWK1100 and participated in rallies as far away as Virginia. Although they have had to give up touring due to complications with Jack’s diabetes they still love the lifestyle. Jack still does day tripping on his Yamaha The couple live full time in their Class ‘A’ RV - travel and adventure are still in their blood.
“Publishing the Motorcycle Guide and web sites for touring, both Prince Edward Island and Canada as a whole, has been a way for me to stay involved in something we enjoy,” she says. “I was so happy to meet Daniel and know that he will continue presenting Prince Edward Island to the riding community.”
Julie is the author of 32 books, and hundreds of magazine articles. One book of which she is particularly proud, Living With Diabetes: A Family Affair, includes interviews with many members of the motorcycle community. As well as writing about travel, food, ghosts and fairies, life adventures and now, retiring to a life traveling in an RV, Julie is often seen at fairs and markets selling her books and handmade greeting cards (many with a motorcycle or travel theme), along with photography by her son, John Watson of Vancouver and other “printables” which are projects of her company, Seacroft. Check out www.seacroftpei.com where you can find information about Julie and her work.
